A true-blue Visayan, Realtor Awit was born in Roxas City, Capiz, but was raised in Cebu. His father hails from Balamban, Cebu while his mother is from Tagbilaran & Loboc, Bohol.
He communicates fluently in Hiligaynon (Ilonggo), Cebuano, English and Tagalog.
He was also the youngest real estate broker to take and pass the Real Estate Broker's Examination given in November 1993, Cebu City at the age of 22.
He is a graduate of UP College Cebu HIgh School & took up AB Comm Arts in UP Los Banos. After college, he took & passed the Real Estate Broker's exam held in 1993. He is affiliated with the Philippine Association of Realtors Board (PAREB) and served as Secretary of the Iloilo Realtors Board, Inc. in 2004.
